From Bleached Bones

John Lee's Illustration Blog
Learn with Homer is a comprehensive and sequential learn-to-read app for the iPad that is specifically geared towards kids 3-6. Their team of early education experts, developers, writers, animators, etc. have been working tirelessly for over a year towards launch—which is today!
Most importantly, however, is that my dear friend Bee Johnson is at the helm as the lead illustrator and art director. She’s essentially responsible for the look and design of the entire app, and it’s been really exciting to see the project take form.
When people ask me what kind of jobs are out there for illustrators, I almost invariably bring up Bee. She’s the perfect example of an illustrator using their abilities to help create something entirely new— a new product, a new market, and a new approach to learning.
