Had a little downtime after finishing that last piece, so I kind of played around with taking a preexisting scan and cropping in real close so that all the markmaking became abstracted. Then I drew on top of it, pulling out shapes with no real idea of what I was going to end up with.
I guess it’s a drawing version of a Rorschach test. Looking back, it could have easily been a rack of BBQ ribs, but that’s because I think with my stomach 99.99% of the time.
